Buddies are made up of year 5 and 6 children. Our job is to comfort other children if they have nobody to play with or if they are unhappy for any other reason.
We wear yellow tabards and hats so that we can stand out for the children to see us. Our school has supplied a friendship bench so children can sit there and we will listen to them.
We went on a one day course at The Weatheralls, a primary school in Soham, to learn how to comfort other children and to help them. If they fall out in the playground we can offer them help and advice and talk with them about their problems.
