Friends Association
Friends of Fordham School welcome you to discover more about their association with Fordham Church of England Primary School
Who are we?
We are a committee made up of parents, grandparents & carers whose sole aim is to raise money for our children’s school.
As the school budget becomes increasingly restricted, our fundraising efforts become more essential, not just for the extras, but also for everyday school equipment.
By being a Friend you have an opportunity to be involved with a group of fun loving, hard grafting and focussed people. All with a common interest in enhancing our children’s education and spending happy years at Fordham Primary School.

We meet approximately once a month, in school, during term time on a weekday evening. A representative from the school teaching staff also attends – this keeps open excellent lines of communication - ensuring our funds are allocated in the most appropriate way possible. We are currently in the process of applying for charity status of which the model constitution has been approved.

What can I do to help?
-
You can become a full-time committee member who attends monthly meetings and helps with events.
-
You can be part of the Help Bank (see below) and be called upon to help at an event.
-
You can pick & choose when you can offer your help whenever it suits you.
-
You can support an event by just attending and contributing to the fund raising.
Whichever you choose, your contribution is greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU.
Help Bank
This is a group of people who kindly commit to helping at fund raising events whenever they are able to. Some people will be as active as a committee member by helping at many events all year, where as others feel able to help at one event a year.
The help bank, therefore, is a vital part of Friends.
A register of people is kept on hand so that their valuable help can be requested when needed.
If you would like to join the register, then please complete the slip at the end of the latest Newsletter which your child will bring home in their book bag. Or pop into the school office and drop your details into the small box provided for communication with Friends.
If you would like to have a chat about becoming involved, telephone
Sarah Asbury on 01638 721746 or email on sarah@asbury-web.co.uk
Remember……
Many Hands Make Light Work!
If you would like to get in contact with the committee
do look for any of us in the playground
