Fordham Primary School

Community and Living Well Together

We hold regular school events that involve members of the community; these include ladies in our lives assemblies, stay and play events and whole class assembles.

We have worked with the British Legion and annually hold a Remembrance Service at the war memorial in the village. Click here.

Previously, Year 5 took part in a project working alongside a local care home, sharing memories of the past through exploring artefacts.

With the Harvest Festival food donations, we made parcels and worked with the Fordham Timebank to distribute these to the elderly residents in our community and at Christmas, we distributed Christmas cards along with a calendar and Christmas pudding, again, organised with the Fordham Timebank.

We learn about different religions and discuss their beliefs in relation to Jesus' teachings. We are looking forward to our Interfaith Week 2022.

This, too, highlights the British Values 'mutual respect for an tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith'
