Each year group has regular Forest School sessions, starting in Reception where it is weekly. We are very excited to have acquired some more space from the Parish Council and set the school council the challenge to come up with some ideas of what they would like the new Forest School area to look like. This is a developing project during Autumn 2022.
We really value and recognise the importance of providing Forest School sessions. It is an opportunity for children to have outdoor experiences, involving building confidence, friendships and a wide range of outdoor skills. Some of the experiences that children may encounter are: knot tying, den building, wood work, fire building, planting, as well as identifying species of plants and wildlife.
Thanks to PTFA events and parent contributions; we now have a range of resources to use during our sessions.
