Forest Schools

Each year group has regular Forest School sessions, starting in Reception where it is weekly. Mrs. Woodcock has taken over Forest School lead whilst Mrs. Cook is on maternity leave. We are very excited to have acquired some more space and have set the school council the challenge to come up with some ideas of what they would like the new Forest School area to look like.

We really value and recognise the importance of providing Forest School sessions. It is an opportunity for children to have outdoor experiences, involving building confidence, friendships and a wide range of outdoor skills. Some of the experiences that children may encounter are: knot tying, den building, wood work, fire building, planting, as well as identifying species of plants and wildlife.

Thanks to PTFA events and parent contributions; we now have a range of resources to use during our sessions.
