Generosity

For the past fortnight, children and staff have been thinking about the term generosity.

A Year 2 pupil has sorted out old toys and clothes to sell at the village car-boot sales.  He has already raised in excess of £70 and wants to give this money to the Children's Air Ambulance.  Another child in Year 4/5 gave her pocket money to a homeless man in Cambridge.  Parents and staff have come in early this week to prepare a SATs breakfast for all of the Year 6s; the food had been donated by the village Co-Op.  Parents did a bucket shake at the last car-boot sale and raised in excess of £740 for the school.

All of these people have been generous in heart and mind.  They have demonstrated the value of generosity and shown what it is to be part of our school community.  We thank them all for their efforts.

The Bible says:

"Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

(Luke 6:38)
