Our Worship Committee

At Fordham CE Primary School, we have a Worship Committee consisting of pupils from Year 6. 

One part of their role is to write prayers for the Celebration assembly:

Here is one written for Black History Week:

Dear God,

Thank you for the wonderful week we had.

Let us treat each person as we wish to be treated ourselves.

Help us remember the fight for an equal world, 

And let us show the same courage and hope that many people did years ago,

May you remind us that no matter your skin colour, religion and personality, 

That in your eyes we're equal.

Amen

We also have a number of children who wish to write prayers in their prayer space and these are shared in our weekly newsletters. 

Another part of their role is to lead collective worship each term.
