School to School Support

We believe that schools improve by sharing great ideas with each other.  Therefore, we have developed a programme of events so that our staff visit other schools as well as sharing their expertise with others.  We regularly host teachers from other schools who want to see different examples of outstanding teaching and learning.

Previously, we have hosted a number of moderation events so that schools can work together to ensure a common view of 'age related' is reached. 

Currently, our Headteacher is a Specialist Leader of  Education (SLE) for mathematics and our Deputy Headteacher is a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) for English.  This means that they support colleagues within the Anglian Gateway Alliance and Circle Cluster of schools to develop their practice through coaching, peer-to-peer support and joint development planning.

Our school is an alliance partner of 'The Anglian Gateway Teaching School Alliance'.  This is a cross-phase, collaborative alliance, centred in the Bottisham, Burwell and Soham locality and working in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.  We share the inclusive ethos and core aims of the Anglian Gateway Teaching School Alliance in these key areas:

ITT:  to provide a personalised programme, delivered by excellent classroom practitioners developing successful, highly motivated teachers for the future;

CPD and leadership: to share best practice and provide bespoke high-quality CPD and leadership development which inspires, challenges and motivates;

School to school support:  to build capacity for school improvement, through a cross-phase collaboration of learning communities;

Research and Development: to develop a reflective approach to the improvement of teaching and learning, with robust, practical outcomes;

Talent management and succession planning drives every aspect of our work; developing the strengths, resources and creativity of all our teachers to ensure that the progress and well-being of the pupils and students in our alliance.
