We love Science at Fordham and are looking forward to our Science Week in March. We are proud to say that we have been recognised for our high quality teaching and learning of Science and have achieved the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM).
Recently, a new mascot was designed a pupil and it is called DEQ. Our new Science Lead, Miss. Pack is also working closely with the newly-appointed Science Ambassadors and will be organising a range of activities for the school, including our annual Science Week which takes place in March.
The whole school enjoyed Science Week. The children took part in a range of activities such as:
Mouldy bread / hygiene test; grow cress; campfire popcorn; baking chocolate chip cookies following different recipes; baking bread following different recipes; hoop throw and pooters to identify minibeasts; bird watching and special visitors from the science professional world. We ended the week with our first ever Science Fair!
