Values and Ethos
Following the collaboration with staff, parents, pupils and Governors, it is with great pleasure that we are sharing out school values and ethos.
Our school principles - to Flourish, to have Friendship and Faith - encompass all the values we live by in our school.
Fordham CE Primary School is a school where we have a core set of principles – to flourish, to have friendship and to have faith – that encompass all the values that we live by and direct our every interaction; these are at the heart of our success.
Fordham CE Primary School is a school where we have children achieving educational excellence through stimulating, active and above all, enjoyable learning. Our challenging, inclusive curriculum will provide real-life experiences in preparation for the wider world; and through breadth of experiences and opportunities, will inspire individuals to continue their interests as adults.
Fordham CE Primary School is a school where we cherish our ‘family’ ethos. The staff, children and parents will feel fully supported and valued as individuals and as God’s children in a safe and secure environment underpinned by our British and Christian values. Well-being and positive mental health will be a key focus for all.
- The children are happy, inquisitive, independent and resilient learners. They will be supportive, value and care for each other and their environment and make positive contributions within the local and wider communities.
- The parents work in partnership with us, having high aspirations for their children and be fully involved in school life.
- The staff have great job satisfaction with the drive to improve themselves professionally, and will deliver truly great teaching.
- The Governors have a clear understanding of our school, know its strengths and are able to identify and challenge areas for development and be valued as effective critical friends who show a real interest in providing the best for our children.
