Wellbeing and Mental Health

We are committed to the wellbeing of children and staff.  Miss. Rankin is our wellbeing lead.

All teachers have had 'raising achievement through mental well-being' training (February 2017) and there is an action plan to develop positive mental health for both staff and children.

Pastoral and Welfare Leader:  Mrs. Clay works Monday, Thursday and Friday and her role is to support families through education and acts as a key point of contact for parents in all matters relating to student welfare and wellbeing including school attendance, behaviour and safeguarding.

Pastoral and Wellbeing Practitioner: Mrs. Lawes works Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and her is to provide support directly to the children and will be running nurture groups and acts as a liaison officer as well.

A new mental health website has been created for young people, parents/carers, teachers and other professionals.  It is a central point for good quality information on keeping well, self-help and support services.  The website covers a range of issues including stress, bullying, self-harm and what to do in a mental health crisis.  Please use this service as necessary.  Miss. Rankin can offer you further advice as required.

You can also access mental health crisis support by dialing 111 and selecting option 2.  The service is available to anyone, of any age, currently living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in mental health crisis.  Individuals may call themselves or on behalf of someone else in crisis.
