Breakfast Club

Children arrive from 7.45am when they will be offered a healthy breakfast with a choice of cereals, toast with a choice of spreads, fruit, yoghurts and fruit juice, milk or water to drink. After breakfast, children have a choice of activities set out, including games, drawing and colouring. We also do seasonal art and craft projects.

At 8.45 the children are taken across to their classrooms for morning registration.

The cost is £4.00 per child per session with breakfast, and we ask that you book on a permanent basis to ensure your place.  We are happy for pupils to book one-offs in advance so that we can staff safely.  To book all ad-hoc sessions please log onto your child's ParentPay account and make the booking through that route. For permanent bookings paid for with Childcare Vouchers/through the government's tax free scheme, please use the booking form attached, if you do not pay with vouchers/scheme please book and pay for the sessions through Parentpay.  All fees should be paid in advance including voucher and government payments. We ask that debt is not allowed to accrue as this is often difficult to pay off and may result in your child's place being withdrawn. We are not limiting places at the moment as we have extra staff on standby but this may change at a later date dependent on space within school. A free taster session is also available if you would like your child/children to try. Again, please enquire at the School Office for availability.

We accept ChildCare Vouchers for those entitled to them.

Please note that new YR pupils cannot start either Breakfast or After School Clubs until the first full week they are in full time to allow for settling into their new routine. No place would be available on the induction or part time mornings.

Ad hoc bookings: We are always very willing to make ad hoc bookings at after school club, for any child at Fordham. If you wish to make a one off booking please book through Parentpay; you will be allowed to book online up to midnight the day before the session is required.  If it is after that time please contact the office to book your place.

Late Collections: If your child is picked up more than 10 minutes after the end of their booked session (not including the 5.45pm close) the later session charge will be added to their account.  We will give you leeway as a one-off per term but from the second time that charge will be incurred. If your child is booked until 5.45pm and you are late please contact the Koala Klub staff on 07840747973 to alert Klub staff. Again, a one-off will be forgiven, from the second time a charge of £1/minute will be incurred to cover the staff's overtime costs.

Food and Drink: Snacks will be available from 3.15. A healthy finger food tea will be served at 4.30pm. At our After School Club, we promote the principles of play: that children's play is freely chosen and that through play children can explore - learning and developing as an individual. Our aim is to provide opportunities for the individual child to achieve his or her potential in a fun, friendly and caring environment. Your child's enjoyment, care and safety are our main concerns. The After School Club is based in it's classroom at the back of the school.  The children arrive at the Club and have the opportunity to have a snack and a drink, and then our activities start. There is one main activity per session that is staff led, which the children can choose to take part in. Also during the session, there is a selection of board games and play materials such as Lego, Hama beads and a football table. Your child will also be free to use the laptops and book library. The children have access to all the outside spaces at the school and are supervised appropriately. These include the trim trail, play area, forest and the school playground, where we play outdoor sports such as parachute games, football and other fun games. The club has themed activities to celebrate special events and holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. A new timetable is produced every half term and is
